First Hussars Regiment 1939-1945

The records in this database cover the period of 1 September 1939 to 29 May 1945.  Following 29 May 1945, all personnel posted to the First Hussars for their first time were posted for administrative purposes only and are not considered to have been with the Regiment during WWII.  If a soldier's name was found in the Regimental War Diaries, their information was recorded in the database, regardless of their length of stay with the Regiment.
